I've literally just installed Zopim for the second time. We got rid of it because we didn't have the time to dedicate to it but are looking at giving it another shot now. You get 2 weeks free and it's a simple bit of code to add to your site.

We use OggChat which is very reasonably priced and doesn't really need any technical work to install. It can be customised, and their email support is exceptional. I like the fact it is just as easy to access on our office PCs as it is on my smartphone.

LiveZilla is pretty solid, although unfortunately the newest version is no longer free.

You can do a Google Search for LiveZilla 3.3.2.2 (which is the last version that was free to use) and give it a try.

zopim is really good, you just need to add some javascript to your pages and you're up and running. no software to install. it's also free if you just need one agent ie one person to talk to your clients.

The one we use and have had good experience of is LiveHelp by CraftySyntax. It's free (opensource) and the developer is good at supporting it. You just download a small file, upload it to your server and run the install page - that's it (although you'll need to fine tune it afterwards).

Are any workable on a mobile andriod?
It would be handy to have this working when Im out and about or in the evenings

There seem to be so many but I would have thought you could get the software to do it yourself

Yes - the CraftySyntax option I mentioned has a mobile version available. Just do a Google search and you should find their site with all of the information about it.

OggChat supports Android as well as Apple iOS. I use it on my iPhone and it works really well.
