We will be using Royal Mail Tracked as a shipping option on our magento store and take advantage of the safeplace option where a customer can enter details on where would be safe to leave a parcel if they are not it.
Linnworks state that this can be done here if we suffix a order note with what we set in linnworks.
BUT according to linnworks order notes are only passed from magento to linnworks if the order note is set to customer notified but as far as I know you can't do that in magento for notes left by the customer. I'm sure other magento users must be using linnworks and the safeplace feature so how are they doing it?
Quote from linnworks tech support
"At the moment, the system will only download order notes that have the "Customer Notified" option ticked on Magento. A development request is currently being reviewed by our developers, however, that will allow our users to select, what kind of order notes to download: all of them, customer notified only, or none at all. I will add your ticket to the development card to make sure that you are provided with an update as soon as there is any progress with this development."
