Hi,

My company is registered as Ltd at Companies House.

What I've heard is, if it's registered as Ltd, you can only use Ltd when stating your company name, what else I've heard is, if you're registered as Limited, you can use either Ltd or Limited when stating your company name.

Is this true, or can I use either version of the word Limited?

Thanks.

If you're stuck at this point, why did you register as a ltd at all? How did you even manage to turn your PC on? lol :)

I'm well aware of everything and I'm more than capable of using a computer. If you're not going to provide useful input, then I suggest you do not reply at all.

I was simply confused by the wording surrounding the legality of using the word "limited" if you do not appear as "limited" at Companies House.

LOL. Sorry about that. I was in jerk mode. I am the last person to question anyone's knowledge here. I am learning business out of an A level book at aged 27 now. I only "got into this" about 2-3 months back. I was just yanking your chain.

TBH, I dunno. I hope you get some answers. If you're registered, I don't see why not. Ltd is just an abbr. (see what I did there :) ) of "limited". I'd be shocked if some draconian law said that the use of "ltd" and "limited" were..um, limited in some way.

This is true - if you file accounts showing Limited in full, they will be rejected.

Companies incorporated with Limited in full can use either way.
