Limited Company question

I have a limited company called MODRISS TECHNOLOGY LTD.
Also we have a website called kwam-iT DOT com which we use to procure faulty and unwanted gadgets from the general public.

Another website/entity is also set up to sell on procured good for the above mentioned website: preownedtraders DOT com.

I am thinking of setting up another arm which will focus on co-operate organisations.
A website called modriss DOT co DOT uk

My question is do I need a separate company for all these or can they all fall under the MODRISS LTD Umbrella.
P.S in a lot of documents, we are already trading as kwam-iT dot com if that makes sense...

You can have as many trading names as you want as long as the limited company name appears on the website etc.

Maintaining limited companies is a bore and a chore. You set one up when it becomes blindingly obvious you need one e.g liability or tax issues.

If I am reading this correctly, you have a private limited company called Modriss Technology Ltd, which has two arms currently:

-kwam-iT which procures gadgets from the general public
-preownedtraders which sells those gadgets.

In setting up Modriss, you can indeed incorporate all of these websites under Modriss Technology. As Scalloway has rightly mentioned, you do have to include "Modriss Technology Ltd" on each of the websites in order to make it clear that they're under that umbrella.

If your business is a small one then I would recommend gathering your three websites under Modriss Technology Limited but if you're a larger one and expect your new website to be similarly vast then I would suggest setting up separate companies to handle each website. This is only if you feel that they are big enough in their own rights.

The reason for incorporating each website would be that they are successful and well-known enough to have their own separate and distinct brand images which would be confused if you had them all under the same banner. In this situation it would be advisable for corporate and investor clarity that you have each website owned by its own dedicated company, the shares of which are controlled by the mother company of Modriss Technology Ltd.
