Limited company, could I do my own accounts?

I've got a limited company which I no longer use, but need to send the final years accounts to Companies House.

Each month, I've been doing a spreadsheet which shows the money coming in, and the money going out is under certain categories, i.e. rent, vehicle maintenance etc.

The years accounts are only for 8 month, and I have a copy of last years accounts, so I'm wondering is it possible for me to create the end of year accounts myself and forward these to companies house, using last years accounts as a template?

I feel I'm confident enough to do it, but would I need an accountant to sign things. There was only me working for the company, and it only turned over about 15k in the year.
