Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience in dealing with LighterLife.

I don't mean in using there products.

I'm not hearing good things about how well the company are doing currently.

Regards

That's a very unprofessional post from a so-called 'professional'. What exactly have you heard, and what can you find out for yourself without posting on an open forum, looking for dirt/scandal.

I have no connection to FattyLife, but I do find your posting a little odd, maybe you could share your concerns?

Not meant to be unprofessional.

I have a keen interested in Lighterlife and people seem to be spreading rumours about how they are doing financially.

I was wondering if anyone else had heard anything.

There latest set of accounts dont show to much.

I don't have a full subscription to Company Check, but just from the free info on their site http://companycheck.co.uk/company/03164308/LIGHTERLIFE-UK-LIMITED/financial-accounts
I would suggest that the trends tell a story.
2008 Cash at bank - £11m
2011 Cash at bank - £1.7m

2008 Total current assets - £15.8m
2011 Total current assets - £5.3m

I'd imagine that sales peaked in 2007/08, just before the recession. How they have re-structured in the last few years would be critical to how they are surviving/thriving at this point in time.

I was always a little suspicious of this plan. You pay a heck of a lot of money (something like £75 a few years back) to have food packs that were supposed to give you everything you needed for a week's food.

I can't see how they came up with that figure, my wife and I don't spend anywhere near that amount for the two of us on the weekly food shop, and we go to Waitrose!

I think it's like a lot of these plans (diet and otherwise) they have a very bright, but short, life. Appearing on the scene, they gain a lot of popularity quickly, then disappear after a few years (but not before the founders have become rich).

I think the only weight loss business I've seen last any real length of time is Herbalife, and Weightwatchers of course.
