We have been granted 4 internet leased lines each with its own link (RJ45) and IP Address. The supplier advised we need a router for each. My question is instead of a router can I use a Layer 3 switch or can someone recommend a multi-WAN router?

i was blown away by MikroTik (OS) & RouterBOARD (Hardware) combos, they are cheap (spec compared to traditional brands) so i was really sceptical but we run them in lots of locations over many sites and they NEVER wobble, they just stay up and you forget about them, tonnes of features, little bit of a learning curve to get your head around the OS but great for business and good support

Is the leased line connected to the Internet? If so consider security. Minimum router wit acl but best a firewall which is a beefed up router..

Switches should really only be used on protected networks..

Not on Internet directly, if it's a leased line point to point on a protected network then a layer 3 switch shoul be fine
