Lease Advice Needed Please

Hello, im wondering please does anyone know if I buy a business from someone can the landlord refuse to let me be added to the lease? and what sort of things do they ask for?

Hi,

We are just entering into a new lease on our first office. The solicitor is actively trying to encourge us to carry out additional services at £200 per piece on the building but the lease is 2 years long and the office has been empty for 16 months. Do we really need them all or just a way of them topping up their fee?
