Hi there

I am setting up a leaflet distribution company. Does anyone know the best way to get the amount of houses within a postcode.

Also the main purpose of this post is for anyone to come up with unique and quirky ways of getting new business.

Shoot your ideas at me! ( much appreciated )!

Letterbox check worth having it's a live gps tracking system and also can create the maps which give you the house counts with list of roads too,

Getting new business I have found best way is go to local networking events and also deliver your own leaflets to local company's also get in with a good printer who is local to you.

You could try maybe getting a trial from a data company if you just want to look up the amount of houses and not actually obtain their details.

Agree that local networking is a good way to come up with business. You could try building some relationships with local printing businesses. Chances are they could be printing flyers or leaflets for companies who may need someone to distribute them.

Address autocomplete is quite common on ecommerce checkout so I reckon there is a database (or several) out there with every UK address which you can pop into a database and create all the reports you need.

if you're a startup im guessing you're going to start off in a small geographical area, in which case you don't really need to spend the resources on custom dev, just learning pivot tables in excel should help you get what you're looking for.

So tell us about what communication channels you've already considered, what area you plan to operate in and who you see as your target customer and I'm sure you'd get a better response.
The whole point was to leave it as a blank sheet without telling you my ideas so that i could get some fresh creative ideas on bringing in new custom

As you can see that approach clearly isn't working for you :)

Telling people about your brand and what you've already looked at is far more likely to help generate ideas.

No-one's going to be able to provide you with workable creative ideas without this information.

If i post something and wish to post only that information its for a reason.
