Leaflet delivery honesty

Hello all,
I haven't been on here for a while, but hope you can still help.
I am about to undertake an advertising campaign which will include the useage of leaflet drops Door-Door, I have looked at professional companies, but they are too expensive so have decided to advertise for leaflet droppers myself.

Is there a system which I could employ to ensure that the people Which I hire for the task, will complete it in a proper and timely manner and not skip houses or dump any of my flyers.
I have heard of this problem in the past but haven't found any real answers.

This is obviously a worst case scenario and I would have to measure an amount of trust to the potential delivery persons and give them the benefit of doubt, but that doesn't seem like foolproof business practice.

I do not have a way of checking the targeted areas which will be delivered to without following and watching said persons.

Call me paranoid but I think this is a concerning question.

Thanks.

I just love those NO JUNK MAIL, NO CANVASSER signs. I used to sell stuff door to door and would actually go out of my way to sell to those houses. It was a badge of honour, a bit of a challenge. Hehe

People often have those signs for a reason. i.e they are sleeping off nights, elderely, sick, vulnerable etc..

If you are going to hire people to do the distribution for you. I would ask them to provide you with a daily list of roads completed, and then go and knock on a few doors on those roads to ask whether or not they have had the leaflet( showing them a copy helps). Or you could use the services of a backchecking company who will phone people in the area and will then provide you with a report

Hope this helps

Could you also think about contacting other local companies to see whether they can recommend a reliable door to door delivery service for you? If people have used their services in the past and wouldn't hesitate to do so again?....

I know what you mean though, it can be a bit daunting!

Hi,

Door to door leafleting is a very effective means of advertising. My main business (domestic cleaning) relies completely on this.

However the leaflet industry has a rightly deserved awful reputation!! There's no guaranttee that you'll get the service you want even from a "professional" company. Because of that, we started our own delivery company & recruited our own people.

It's not an easy task. You must give them recording sheets to tell you when & where they've delivered to. You must tell them (even if you don't) that you do checks on the deliveries and will pay them after the checks.

Take on a few people & give them a few each, at least then if one lets you down the whole exercise isn't ruined. Use postcode sectors to monitor who does what and measure your responses....

Leaflet delivery is best completed by a full time dedicated company yes the price might be higher than the £2 per hour illegal immigrant but you can be sure all is above board and the routes will be completed.

LeafletDistribution

I might be mistaken but most leaflet distribution companies provide services to other businesses. But come to think of it, that might even be a good idea.

I've read the contents of this thread and I have realised something. We can provide that service that you have been missing. How many leaflet distribution companies can look at you in the eye and tell you "we can guarantee all your leaflets reach their target"? Not many, but we can and we are not only saying it because our name says it, but we have the means to make you those promises. We also pay our staff well, which allows for a better relationship, and in return we get an honest, reliable effort from them.

If you want to know more please drop me PM.

Many thanks,
