I would like to display an lcd screen in my shop window which loops a powerpoint presentation. i have an old dell 19inch tft monitor and would like to know how to go about doing this on a tight budget. the ppt would just promote what we do and the fact that we deliver something which no one knows inspite of it being on the a-board outside.

i have seen some websites promoting this typs of stuff for thousands. my shop window is quite small.

thanks

thanks for all your responses. much appreciated.

i will go along with powerpoint as it is used in the post office and i have to watch it when i queue. whilst i won't have a captive audience i would certainly give this a bash before spending any money on a video. i put a handwritten sign in the window just promoting one prooduct and i have seen so many people bend down to read it and i have sold several of the items too. ours is a very narrrow pedestrianised street so for that reason we do have people taking slightly longer to walk by and stop in shop windows.

as for the a-board i think people just sub-conscioualy ignore them there are so many about. ours says 'we deliver' yet i almost always am asked whether wwe deliver. i think westminster council were right in banning them.

I use it in my shop - Powerpoint is quick and easy - good for getting the message across, its cheap too. I bought a 2nd hand machine off the Internet with all the licensed software.

Doing it with video will be expensive, and when an update is need more cost.

Whereabouts in the country are you? maybe I could help you.

Cheers
