Hi,
2 years ago I have rented an office space for my company.
Recently, we have moved one of our offices to another location at the end of the contract by prior notification to landlord.
After the contract termination end, we have requested our deposit back and landlord does not pay till now.
They have sent an invoice which denotes one line item as "Dilapidation's & Repairs".
We have sent email twice to ask the reason of this invoice, but they have never replied. And additionally they have never returned the amount of deposit back. Contract has ended at February, and we could not do anything.
While entering into office, the situation of the office was bad, and we have handed the keys better than how we have received. Additionally, we have cleaned carpets with vacuum cleaner as well. While leaving the office we have recorded a video for the status of office. And additionally, we have written confirmation of how office bad before we renting it from previous building manager.
Landlord has never sent us the reasons of dilapidation & repairs, and they never sent us the offers which they have requested from the suppliers to fix the issue.
Now, we want to move this case to the legal environment.
When we have investigated, we can not apply https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money/make-claim for deposit payment.
What else we can do? Could you help please?
Thank you
