King Kong Film

Hi all

I went to see this film the other night with my wife.

I must admit, i was a little puzzled as to why they decided to remake it. I cannot understand the glory of wrenching an animal from the wild, taking it to a city. a place it knows nothing about. Chaining it up to perfom.
Then killing it becuse it runs wild. To make matter worse have ones picture taken with it, one it was killed.

A great tribure we thought to mankinds relentless barbaric behaviour i thought.

i will not go into too much more detail, but i will say this, i saw the first flim once, and now the second. Now i can honestly say i will view neither again. To be honest i was digusted by it.

For those with young kids who intend to view it, i would recommend caution, that should be a 15 rated film in m opinion, not 12A

Just thought you might like to know

I liked it a lot, much better than Narnia.

The 1933 original was great and I can remember my dad making me watch it when I was little.

This remake is really good.

Agree, it is a bit grim at times, I had to cover a few kids eyes

This is the second remake

The Original with Faye Wray

the first remake with Jessica Lange :D

I havent had time to see it yet but the big draw is the SFx on the back of the Lord of the Rings trilogy (unbeatable)

Narnia is good but the story was written for children and therefore doesnt have the character development to make it into a great film.

Because the wife wanted to see it, and to be honest i thought we had risen above the levels of glorifying the slaughter of an animal in such a way, so i gave it the benefit of the doubt. :)

I know some enjoyed the film, not to my taste though.

Its not a real animal, dont worry !

I wouldnt mind seeing it but g/f has seen it already, I'llprobably watch it at some stage when its out on DVD. I cant remember the story but I remember at the end it has planes flying round it when its on top of the building and it gets killed
Hmm, I know the ending, not much point watching it !

Thought the King Kong remake was a bit mixed up!

Didn't know any of the actors/actress in the film, although I believe King Kong was played by Andy Serkis, the guy who was Gollum in the Lord of the Rings.

Tell you what though....those natives were bloody ugly!

That PNG file is 90kb. That means someone on a 56k modem is gonna have to wait a looooong time everytime they have to read one of your posts. If they're downloading at 4kb, that's 22 seconds to download purely your banner.

Bit unfair, maybe?

I watched the movie last night and thought it was good but I couldn't stop laughing when King Kong, 3 T-Rex and the girl fell down the crevis and then the girl and the T-Rex were swinging at each other. I honestly nearly wet myself

I was referring to your previous reply of 'thanks tell me the ending' or whatever you said. I was told the ending of that film, totally ruined it for me. By the way is your beach painting still for sale? Someone wants to buy it for me!

Nic
