Keyword ideas needed.

Hi,

If you were to use the interwebz to look for someone to install your kitchen or bathroom (excluding directories ;)) what would you type into google or yahoo.

Im struggleing a bit i dont think the demand for kitchens and bathrooms matches the likes of plumbers and electricians.

Thanks Nick.,

I think kitchen sellers birmingham is kind of where i need to take it, the people i get kitchens off used to be mfi, so i might get more install work from aiming at selling keywords rather than fitting keywords, i think thats the answer :)

yep thats the way ..

its worth checking out the keyword tool also as its amazing how thick the Uk consumers are ..

they will probably search using, Brummy kitchen fixers

etc etc :D so have a look and maybe slip a couple of them on your bottom tag lines . ;) mask them in background ink colour if they are realy silly

Leave the birmingham off - related keywords and the relative number of searches will likely be the same.

Also try the wonder wheel. Do a search, say 'kitchen fitters'. At the top of the listing is 'options', click this and a menu opens on the left. Choose wonder wheel and just follow the links for drill down.

I didnt know about the wonder wheel, looks like a good a good keyword tool.

If you can get listed via Google Local Business Centre, the new dashboard/stats facility shows you the top 10 keywords searched which cause your links to be shown - very useful info and completely free. You can use this info to create more relevant content for your site.

Google adwords keyword tools is great free tool provided to us by google and i think one must utlilize it...

Keywords tool is not as accurate as finding out what people actually search, especially at the local business search level.

Suggested top 10 keywords for "florist" according to the keywords tool:

florists
florist delivery
wedding florist
florist flowers
florist deliveries
online florist
ftd florist
local florist
flower florist
florist shops

Actual
top 10 keywords driving impressions according to Google LBC (data from 1200 impressions):

flowers
florists
florist
flower shops
flower delivery
flower shop
shops
flower
plants
flourists

Keyword tool doesn't even mention "flowers" yet it's the most-searched term at local level.
