JustHost... appalling service.

JustHost has it's fair share of complaints on the net, I've been using them as cheap secondary hosting for 7 years now and always knew their service was pretty poor with 3-5 hours wait for a response from support. One time I had to converse over several emails with support as they kept asking stupid questions so had to wait 3 hours for each reply.

Unfortunately I use them for my main company email hosting because I just never got around to changing it. Recently I've been getting lots of spam bounces on the company email and it turns out someone is using the shared server for spamming and the IP has been blacklisted. After waiting over 24 hours for support to get back telling them of the problem I thought well sod it's a good excuse to finally transfer domains and use my own server. Again I contacted support asking for the domains to be transferred etc. But nearly 48 hours after contacting them I am yet to recieve any sort of response from them. Over 2 days to get any response from hosting support is just appalling.

If you're thinking of using Just Host then DON'T! There's a reason why they're so cheap. If you're going to go with any hosting I'd recommend Vidahost, they have great support, great interface and great server options.

Its really sad, that's the reason it's really good to test support of any webhosting company. Every web hosting provider does face some amount of downtime, at that time support is the only thing that matters, how the company handles the customer support request and how well they try to fix their problems.

Its good to know that you are now happy with your present provider.

yeh they've always been bad.. now they're just appalling.

Their general network is not the most reliable of networks but as others have said it is the problem with being part of the EIG brand.
