.... and how biz partners can infuriate you sometimes. Hopefully you all get along fine with yours, but soemtimes just sometimes I throw my hands up in the air in exasperation and despair.
We have a prospective new client, who I met with last Thursday to do work on an MOD site. As most of you know, getting on the procurement for these sites is a minefield( sick pun not intended). So getting an invite to quote for a job is pure gold in our industry. On Friday it was set up for tomorrow, Tuesday. I checked with all parties they were available and could they put in their diaries.And so it was.
Mine rings me just now and says he cant make it( he's pivotal to this), says he's had a job thats been booked in for months in B/nam and could we change it.
Now I know he's not lying, because I know what he's like. However, this happened a while back on another appt, so when we were together recently I went through his office diary( he was standing next to me at the time, so I wasnt snooping). I saw all these blank days from then until November and asked him wheres all this work you said you had,?, guess what he told me......yup........its all up there mate.
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!! Im getting to dislike Mondays.
