Hello
I have a lot of experience in outsouring that I got from my previous work experience in such companies. Currently, I decided to setup my own IT oustourcing company. I'm able to offer very competetive prices and quality. and this is not India!
Now I have to decide the best promotion ways. I took a look at contextual advertising, but there are so many competitors that prices per click getting 5$ and more. This is pretty much and I'm not sure if this will work for me for the first time of company development.
I would love to discuss promotion ways that can be used here. Any ideas is really appreciated.

It is the age of a big market competition. So if you are going to start up your own outsourcing business so i would like to say you that don`t compare yourself with other competitor`s business at this time. If they are dealing with 5 for per click than you should reduce your click rate. If you come up with good opportunities and with low rate, it would be easy for you take a place in market.

Best Regards,
Peter:)

You should find a way to contact your potential customers directly. Who are your customers? British IT firms looking to outsource some work.

Here's what I would do:

1. create a list of good high-profile references, even if it means working without profit or at-loss for some time. You only need 6-7 references to start

2. get a list a of bigger UK IT companies (10+ employees) - those are the ones that need outsourcing for sure

3. create a nice marketing material (using real paper :) and send it to them via regular mail. Target the company CEO or some high ranking person/decision maker if possible. Given all the amount of electronic junk we all get, receiving an offer on paper gives you credibility. Make sure those 6-7 references from step1 are listed in the brochure and that you have pages on your website linking to some pages on their websites confirming this

4. win! :)

Hi guys
Thanks for your replies

I would love to give more details about my outsourcing business model, so that you clearly understand what I mean here.
The ideas is to work on b2b market and offer services only for long term customers. I'm not going to work with customers that need only 1 or 2 developrs for couple of monthes. This model could also be called as outstaffing.
Now, when we define that, I would love to give my comments for each of the replies

It's a great plan, really. But as per I said, that idea is to work with customers on long term basis, so it will be very hard to get 5-6 references. But, even if go that way, how I will find this 6-7 customers so that I could have references from them?

2-3 steps could be really used here. This is cool ideas. Thank you for your post

I think you should direct contact your target customers and talk to only decision makers like directors and business owners. You will be required to do extensive research to get such information.

This is great idea. But, how this will look like? I'm calling for some CEO of the company and trying to sell my services? This is so like spam but just by phone. I'm not from UK, so I'm not sure if this is usable there. And how that guys will respond for such type of calls.
Any information about this would be very useful

This is interesting idea. But this market is so competetive, that is very hard to find a low rate. But I will try to find. If so, this will be really great. Thank you for the ideas

Hi,

I am in the same field as yours. It wont look like a spam if you contact them regularly via phone or email. You references, work examples and regular contact will build a trust and confidence.

Now you are ready to ask for a small project to get an idea how you can work together on bigger projects.

I hope this helps

I would look into some per-project outsourcing sites like vWorker (formerly rent-a-coder), monster or similar. Create a developer account and see the open jobs. These jobs are given by companies that might not be your long-term customers, but can be good references. If you already have programmers to outsource, you can give those clients cheap prices, complete some smaller projects and build reputation. You can later use your vWorker account as reference. I know of three big outsourcing companies in eastern Europe that started their business that way.
