Issue with Regus. Nothing major.

I'm after a little bit of general advice. It's not a major issue but one that I would like to get resolved, it concerns me trying to get out of an agreement.

Basically, I have had a virtual office with Regus for about 7 years. I had an email at the start of May confirming that my agreement had been automatically extended from the 31st May 2019 until the 31st August 2020.
On the 13th June I received an email saying my account was closed from the 31st May (2 weeks earlier), puzzled I contacted them and was told it was because the offices were no longer part of Regus and I had been transferred elsewhere.

It's a significant upheaval in changing telephone numbers and post addresses especially as most of my clients are large organisations who take an age to update their supplier and partner records.

I have since asked for a copy of my signed agreement with them and they can't find it.

I would like to completely cancel Regus and move elsewhere, had I known they were changing my location I would never had extended my agreement, the fact that they told me 2 weeks after it had actually happened has cost me financially because of late payments.

So, my question. Do you think that a change in location, postal address and reception numbers without notice constitutes any kind of breach? Does them not having a copy of a signed agreement mean that it's interpreted as not having any agreement at all? I cant find any terms and conditions from them.
I'm not looking at taking this a whole lot further but a bit of leverage so I can cancel this virtual office which is no longer what we signed up for, as well as the shoddy way they have dealt with this.

Thanks in advance.
Steve.

I doubt it, but it is going to depend entirely on the contract you signed. Where is your copy?
I cant find mine either. I have found an email with a link for the agreement but the link no longer works. I'm not going to aggressively pursue this with them but just fed up that they can offer such a shoddy service and i'm obliged to continue to pay them for it.

Within their General Ts & Cs (Paragraph 1.6) they state:

"If the Centre is no longer available: In the event that We are permanently unable to provide the services and accommodation at the Centre stated in an agreement, We will offer You accommodation in one of Our other centres. In the unlikely event we unable to find an alternative accommodation that is acceptable to You, Your agreement will end and You will only have to pay monthly fees up to that date and for any additional services You have used. I have since asked for a copy of my signed agreement with them and they can't find it.

Then they are going to have a hard time enforcing this agreement?

My brief tenure with regus ended with invoices for use of facilities at their Gatwick office that I have never been to. Fortunately for me they were raising these false invoices and charging against my Barclaycard and it was very easy to get these reversed. Otherwise I expect I'd still be arguing with them?

Absolute shower of s**t.

Thanks for this. Is this your agreement or one you found on the web? Sounds like I can quote this if they are unable to find my agreement which stated anything different.

They are awful. Looking at the standard of billing at the moment between my old and new location has credits, outstanding balances all over the place. Their support is just as bad. I probably wouldn't have changed because that's a pain, but as it's forced anyway I may as well use a different VO.

It's from one of ours but is applicable to virtual offices. I can't post the link to the full Ts & Cs or PM you unfortunately as I don't have enough 'posts' here.

Good luck with getting money though, we've been consistently calling their accounts team on and off for the past 6 months about invoicing errors. Frustrating is an understatement.
