Issue getting a courier

Hi all,

For the past few weeks I've been trying and failing to find a reasonable priced courier for next day delivery.

Of all the companies I've contacted they're either too expensive (£20+) as we'll be sending a small amount to begin with or haven't bothered getting back to me despite me chasing them for answers.

Can anyone recommend a good courier?

Mainland UK to Mainland UK ranges between £7.99 and £12.99 + VAT depending which courier you select, there is cut off times, usually midday, which can be a pain, but depending on what time your driver is collecting we can book out and he will still take them even tho they have gone onto the next day. 15kg is fine for the dimensions you gave, try their website as you can get a quote as long as you put in the postcodes. We use UPS (interparcel economy/standard & Premium), Insurance is standard £50, up to you whether you want to increase this for a premium, we never have as UPS have been an excellent courier service for us.

Are you sure you put the correct details into the parcels2go website?

For that sort of weight they have a range of options for next day delivery at under £10.00 + VAT.

Although we have an account with UK Mail, if I only have one box to go out that day I often use Parcel2Go UPS Parcel Access service - costs £6.50 + VAT. We have to drop the box of at an access point (for us its a shop in town) and it gets there next day.

No need for us to make sure we are around for the courier for collection (the timing of which is getting more erratic - a couple of regular drivers have given up and moved away. Our local (UK Mail) depot is now always short of drivers so pick up is getting later & later.)

Hi that price for next day is wrong we curently pay 5.95 plus vat for up to 30kg we use prompt parcels with is a brooker they use city link we pay 12.95 for 3 day delivery europe if need any contact details will be happy to help

Those prices are actually correct - but you may be getting a better deal with Prompt due to the quantity you send. All figures mentioned above for interparcel, ParcelMonkey etc look right to me,

Have you tried Interlink? All these third party companies are fine but not so much so if something goes wrong...it's like Chinese whispers with somebody having to speak to somebody who probably needs to speak to somebody else.....everyone seems to want to pass the buck... if you look at Interlink or similar they will have comparable prices (if not cheaper given what I have seen mentioned on this thread) and you will have a central contact point to deal with issues.

If you don't have an account with Interlink, you'd have to use Interlink Direct. Be warned - there are no contact numbers on the Interlink Direct website, so if anything goes wrong, your only recourse is to submit an enquiry via their website, which may or may not be answered.

Alternatively, find a contact number on one of the other Interlink sites and they should be able to put you through to the right place.
