Is this website legitimate or a scam?

Hello,

In a nutshell, my question is that is the following website genuine or is it fake/scam? Please don't give a "no" without having a solid reason because I really need a job at the moment.

http ://excelonlinejobs.com/ (Please remove the space after http in the link, they say that I can not post a link before I have 30 posts and that it is to prevent scam. I think it is OK for me to do this because I am not scam)

Detail:-
I have been looking for a home-based job, and I got to know about this website. It is based in New Zealand and has franchises in my country (I live in Pakistan). I visited a franchise and discussed everything with them. According to their terms and conditions, we have to pay them a good amount of money as a registration fee which is non-refundable. I have asked them for the documents which prove that they are registered with the parent website, I haven't received them yet, but since their franchise is listed in the website, so I think I can be sure about the franchise at least.

Now, about the website itself. I have been searching to find out if the website is legitimate. I saw some positive signs (like they are registered and have been around) but saw some red flags as well.

So if somebody can check and give me their opinion about whether the website is legitimate or not, I'll be grateful.

Note:- Please don't say a "no" just because they ask for money or something like that. Why? Because it is important for me. I really do need a part-time job and I have not found any other yet.

The map claims they are in New Zealand. The terrible English alone would make me fall on the side of "Scam"

and why on Earth would you want to pay someone to work for them?. In New Zealand or Pakistan it may well be fully legal, this is a UK site so we are hardly qualified to comment

I agree with mhall - the English used is very poor and the website looks terrible.
I would avoid it.

The very fact that they ask you for money, marks it out as an obvious scam. If I offer someone a job, I don't ask them for a 'processing fee' so why do these people do that?

If you want to work at home and you have a real skill that you could market - go here http://www.homeworkersww.org.uk/

You won't make a fortune, but at least you might make something!

This information was obtained by doing a quick whois search on the domain name. There are several sites that offer this service. The details above can be obtained from the following link:

http://www.whois.com/whois/excelonlinejobs.com

One final point, the information provided on whois is not correct and it does not display the details of the correct domain owner.

This is because the actual domain owner has went out their way to ensure their identity remains hidden. They have actually used and paid for a service which hides their information from the public eye. This alone suggests to me this is a scam and i would highly recommend you avoid!

Thank you. Actually I am looking for a part-time job (which takes 4 hours a day) which does not require too much of energy and brain work. Because I am working on my final year project and preparing for an important exam as well, and I also need a job. (So that's not something which can be marketed I guess)

I am not looking for earning a lot, even this company claims to pay less than 140 dollars a month.

So I was inclined towards this job because adds-posting is the kind of job which does not require an active brains or creativity, and you can do it even when you are tired.
That is why I was inclined towards this. But I don't want to waste my money or time either

You are right. The only thing which makes me think is that I spoke to the franchisee and he said that the only thing he can do for my satisfaction is that he can make me talk to the people who are already earning, and I spoke to five people and they said they are earning. However, nobody is ready to give an explanation about the red flags on the website.

Speaking to people regarding the authenticity of a service is not really going to prove anything. Put it this way, I bet you could get 5 people on the phone to myself to tell me a made up service is real.

No one can tell you that this service is genuine, but based on the information on this thread its more than likely a scam. If it was genuine then why go through all the trouble to hide their real identity?
