Is this misrepresentation?

A franchisor sell a territory to me. He states that the business will be mine and for me to run. A year later he states, that I am not running my own business, but that I work for his company!

Had I known this, I would never have paid him the franchise fee! Is this misrepresentation? What are the chances of getting my franchise fee back?

What other lines can I go down in order to get my franchise fee back?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What does the franchise agreement say? If you paid him for a franchise then there must be paperwork, to back up what you paid for.

I agree with Paul. You need to look at your agreement in order to make a decision.
