Is there a simple SEO guide that you would recommmend?

    I'm an owner of a number of semi-successful websites but my SEO has been hit and miss over the years. I'd like to take a methodical approach to it, ideally showing someone else in the businesss the steps to follow. There are loads of guides out there but is there one that's recommended in particular?

    I think I need something to form the basis of our own process driven SEO procedure that we can adopt for all our sites. I know companies offering SEO services must have this in place already - any pointers?

    I'll order it now :)

    My goal is to create our own action list on a spreadsheet with a list of tasks and a record of the stage of completion for each site. Then try to delegate the tasks or even outsource some where appropriate and cost effective.

    I'll study the book with great interest, thanks again!

    Hobo SEO (www.hobo-web.co.uk) run a blog that offers sound advice, and the owner compiled an e-book a few months back for free download in exchange for your email signup. definitely worth a look if it's still available.

    EDIT: For the mods - I have no affiliation with Hobo, I just found their e-book a great read :)

    I'm about half way through and finding it a very good book, very informative and like you say, easy to read.
