Is there a need for an alternative to the IOD?

Do you think that the IOD is now just too full? We think it is and that there is a need for an alternative in the West End.

Andrew Ferdinando and myself are in the process of creating that alternative. Somewhere where you can hold meetings, have a coffee, pick up your emails (free WiFi) and use touchdown desk space.

It will not be a business centre because you will not be able to buy a permanent office and you will have no storage facilities. It will be an open plan environment with touchdown desks and a cafe where you can work for a few hours or hold informal meetings. We will also have meeting and training rooms available to hire.

Do you think that this is a good idea? Would you use it?

Any thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Simon

The new venue will be open in August 2005 and as mentioned will provide free touchdown space, and free wireless internet access to members of UKBF.

This is the ideal place where you can hold meetings, have a coffee, and pick up your emails. We are providing free membership to all business people.

We have just started accepting registrations today, and to apply for your free membership card visit http://www.innovationcentres.co.uk/index.php?cc=1&page=registerform&

Shortly before the opening we will send you by post your membership card together with full details of the centre. In the meantime if you have any questions please telephone 0845 226 1150.

Please also tell a friend. We have a target of registering 2,500 business people before we open the doors.

I look forward to seeing you all there.
