Is there a tool that instead of checking what position you are in the SERPS for certain terms, it can instead find what terms you are position 1 for?

So, a kind of reverse rank checker tool?

That wont happen as it would require the tool to target every word possible to see if your ranked for it or not... imagaine a tool taking the oxford dictionary and testing each word to see if you rank for it or not

if you have web amster tools that would give you a list of your best keywords and in my opinion be you best place to look, otherwise list your keywords and check them with a tool you may have or look online for somthing like traffic travis which has a free keyword checker

You should have traffic stats that show what search terms people are using to find your website. You can work backwards from there to see how you are ranking for those terms.

If you dont know the Kw's that you are targeting then what are you targeting? - you should have at least 12 main Kw's work on those 3 at a time, track, conquer then repeat.

It is a waste of time working on more than 3 Kw's at any one time, it can be done but it depends on a few factors eg competitiveness - let not forget as a rule you'll see the fruits of your labour 6-12 weeks after your actions.

Seo is a marathon not a sprint!

Tracking is essential, there are a hell of a lot of free tools out there - seek and ye shall find!

2. carry out research based on your content
3. take phrases and run them through a rank checker.
