or is the forum loading really slowly this morning? The header comes up really quickly but the page takes about 20 seconds to load. Anyone else having this problem?

I've had a few similar problems with the header loading over the last couple of weeks but not the specific post underneath it - that being said it only seemed to happen on my work computer so i'd think its a none website related issue and more to do with the your connection.

I'll go and fire up my other laptop and see if there is any difference. This is usually the computer I use for surfing and I've never had this problem before. Oh well , it might give me a chance to go and do something constructive for a change instead of lurking around here!

I tried logging on last night on a different computer and everything was OK. On this computer everything is still slow. It may just be coincidence but, this has happened since the google ads appeared on the right hand side. When the page eventually loads I get a message on the right hand side that says - 504 Gateway Time-out. Any takers?

So what's changed??? I came onto the site this afternoon and it was still playing up, I had a look in the finance forum and bingo, it's flying again. Strange...

No KitKats here (yet!). A very nice cuppa on the go though.

Brian, I can only guess that it's some setting or software on that PC - maybe some blocking software or similar that's not allowing certain connections?

It's working fine today (touch wood, fingers crossed). I hadn't changed anything or fiddled with anything. The ads at the side are loading now. Kit Kats all round.
