Invoice questions

I have a few questions regarding business legal matter, viz:

1. I run a small company and have hired some freelancers. But when they sent me invoices, some of them just put my name on the invoice - not my company name as well. I have already emailed them twice asking them to send me a new invoice with my company name added on it as well to avoid a delay in payment. But they ignored it. So, what can I do in this situation? Because it's not my fault if they didn't receive the payments on time.

2. So, if they received late payment from me because it took them a long time to change the invoice then they might charge me interest fees. But I can't pay them interest fees since it's not my fault. So, what can I do in this situation?

I thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I wouldn't over complicate it personally. Just make sure you have clearly told them that they need to amend the invoice in order to be paid and you should be fine. They will want to be paid correctly after all. I doubt if they are unwilling to promptly amend an invoice that they would go through the hassle of arguing you paid late. Just communicate. :)

Thank you for your advice. I have already emailed them twice and they still ignore me. I don't understand why they don't want to amend the invoice, so that they can get paid sooner?!

If you are a sole trader it makes no difference if the invoice is made out to your company name or you personally.

If it is a ltd co then it is essential that it is changed as their contract is with the ltd company not you personally.

They will be in touch soon enough if they want to get paid... some however are so poor at accounts that it may be some considerable time... or not at all!!!

When you use the word 'company' I assume you mean Ltd company? If not you are a sole trader and it doesn't matter if the invoice is in your name or your trading name. t5hey are a single legal entity.
