Invoice Due Dates

Hi

On an invoice, do I have to legally put the date it was created on?

I want to just have a due date, where the payment is due and no other date. This'd mean I could send the invoice whenever, even if very early. The created date wouldn't really help either me or the client much.

So, is it legal to just put a due date?

Do I have to use line by line invoices, or can I just have one box describing the services I'm providing and then sub-total, VAT and total boxes below?

Oh and as a sole trader if I moved house between two invoices, would it be fine to just change the address for the second invoice like nothing happened?

How you describe your services is up to you and the customer. You should put on an address so that payments come to the right place.

As long as you invoice correctly and follow the guidance given from day one - doesn't matter how big you get...
