Hello folks,
I have an idea for a medical invention that from my research online (no experience in researching so could have easily missed) has not been invented yet. I personally think it would be a vital and important device if its possible to create.

So the problem is although it sounds great and everything, I have no expertise in the areas it needs, medical and programming a device. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Do I look for someone with expertise in those areas? If I shared my idea with them be dangerous as they could say yeah great idea but Ill do it myself without you and leave me.

Any helps for a novice inventor would be invaluable

Hello folks,
I have an idea for a medical invention that from my research online (no experience in researching so could have easily missed) has not been invented yet.

Assume that it has already been invented.
Search Google patents.

The problem with inventing medical devices ...
however simple it's function ...

is the endless bureaucracy of clinical materials compliance, manufacturing licences, health and safety risk assessments and regulations, patents, rules, red tape,
clinical testing and 2 year trials, endless BS and more BS.

I had designed and developed an extremely simple throw-away
flat sheet LED light to fit into a dentist's patient
mouth to give a bright light for the dentist to see what he is doing in there when working on the back teeth.
Also held the cheek well away from the teeth for easy access.
Even persuaded my dentist to try out the prototype when I had my own cracked back molar filled.
Then the research.
Just had to throw the idea in the bin. Not worth the effort to continue with it.

Only Big Pharma drug and medical products / production companies can afford the huge costs and time to do this.

Medical devices are usually Use once - Throw away.
That is the reason anything medically related and the NHS cost us all a fortune.
Even clip-on electronic devices will have to go though endless expensive trials and tests, for medical Compliance.

Search Google for MHRA subjects.

Do not be tempted to approach any Inventor-help companies.

Forget the idea ! :(:(
Invent something for D.I.Y. and gardening equipment.:D
