My wife is going for an interview, and isn't very experienced in interview scenarios, Ive managed to get the questions most likely to be asked, would anyone be able to give some very good replies?

1. Tell us why you have applied for this job and
what experience and knowledge you could
bring to the post.

2. What do you understand by the term Food
Hygiene?

3. What measures do/could you take to ensure
you maintain a good standard of Food
Hygiene?

4. What knowledge do you have of Health &
Safety?

5. How would you recognise an unhappy
customer?

6. Tell us about a time when you have gone
above and beyond for a customer.

7. How would you deal with a complaint
regarding food you have served/the standard of
service?

8. What are your strengths?

9. What are your weaknesses/areas for
development?

10. Tell us about a time when your manager put
you under pressure at work?
How did you cope?

11. How do you know when you have done a
good job? How do you know when you have
achieved the required standard?

12. On a work and personal level what
contribution would you make to the team?

Notes:
• Do you have any final questions regarding the person specification?
• How much notice do they have to give/when can they start?

Well if your good lady survives that kind of onslaught, I will bow with due reverence to her courage and fortitude.

Her only real course of action will be to rely on her knowledge within the trade she is applying for for the "technical" questions.

As for the knotty personal ones like "what are your weaknesses?" then she should not reply with a flippant reply like "I don't have any" because we are all human and there imperfect and fallible. The correct answer is that "my character/behaviour weakness are never taken to work with me, I can be the professional at work".

I think just as important is doing your homework on the company beforehand and ask questions that you already probably know the answers to, but your are showing an interest.

Above all else, show enthusiasm. As an employer I would rather take on someone with enthusiastic potential, than an indifferent skilled person any day.
