Internal memo system

Internal memo system where we can create unique job numbers – Several users will be able to respond and that will display in order.


Also each job needs to be tagged at certain levels and give it a current status message.


Anything like that out there?

how about those systems that the big firms use to deal with complaints and also with in conjunction with sms?

Someone else mentioned ticket system... that is what these are.

We have support/ticket system built into our ecommerce software... partly for our own use (as our site runs our software, and we need to be able to handle support tickets) but also some of our customers use it to handle returns etc.

Our system
1) lets authorized users (eg those with paid support cover) raise new tickets
2) user specifies some info from drop downs, eg what type of issue it is (hosting, software bug, general question, etc)
3) email notification sent to our nominated support people
4) they login and add new updates to the ticket... for each of these we log the time our staff spent on the ticket and when resolves we're able to say what the issue was (bug in our software, user mistake, bad documentation, etc)

When either we or a user views the ticket they see each of the responses listed in date order, with our responses in one colour and the users in another. System is entirely web based so our staff in different offices can share tickets (we have offices in UAE and UK).

I imagine there are standalone ticket systems that offer even more functionality.
