we have been so disappointed with interlink express since December, the service has dropped dramatically. Has anyone else had the same issues?

we have had phones go missing which have ending up being used according to apple, other mobile units missing and to top it off another parcel missing this morning.

anyone thinking of using interlink needs to be careful!!

we are now possibly moving to fed ex, any other recommendations... what are UK mail like?

Thanks for the terrible service interlink!

This sounds like a thief working for Interlink rather than Interlink themselves..

Someone that knows what you are shipping.

We use Interlink, and have done for 3 years, yes they lose the odd package maybe 3 in the last 2 years, but trust me over the years, I have found them to be the best.
We sent 10-15 a day so 3 in the 2 years is not bad.

Give Interlink head office a shout about the issue.

one would think so hey? but what do you think to this as a response........

"goods can fall out of your box and in to other boxes which are also split open".........

seriously come on!

Was that response from Interlink head office, or the local depot? Like many courier firms, Interlink depots are run by franchisees, so you don't know who you're getting.

I guess it is possible a criminal group could purchase a franchise and run it with the sole purpose of stealing the valuable parcels etc. - not that I am saying that is what's happening here.

Which depot did they go missing from?

We lost our first ever Interlink parcel on 20 December when it went missing in the Birmingham depot. It was going overseas and was labelled as children's toys, clothes and sweets - so I'm convinced someone took it for their Christmas presents. I've never had any explanation as to how it just vanished from Birmingham.

We used to use Citylink - another one of those firms that we never had a problem with, but if you search UKBF you'll see plenty of negative threads about them.

I guess it maybe time to have another look at Royal Mail - which I don't believe is "generally" franchised (although they do offer a franchise agreement with other courier firms for Sameday service).

Interlink are the best in my opinion for security and communication. I have no experience in using UPS, but Fedex, TNT, UK Mail (AKA Business Post) Fastway - are all poorer (in ascending order Fastway being the weakest).

The ones I mentioned from Fedex onwards in terms of lost/broken packages are exceptionally poor at accepting any responsibility by the way.

I take it everyone saw the YouTube video (taken from a property's CCTV footage) of the Fed-Ex driver throwing a monitor/tv over the railings into the garden... See HERE

It made it onto the news and the owner of the property said they were in AND the front door was open. All he had to do was press the buzzer and they would have let him in.

I apologise for repeating a post from a previous thread but here goes:-

You will hear horror stories about ALL and I mean ALL the overnight parcel systems.

If you spent overnight in any major parcel hub and saw for yourself the systems needed to sort 100's of 1000's parcels every night you would appreciate the need for good protective packaging and concise accurate address and contact details.

If your package is in the 2 or 3 % which become a "discrepancy" then you will not care about the overwhelming majority which gets delivered 1st time.

However in this instance there would appear to be a more systematic loss. The head office really should take your complaint more seriously.

I basically agree with @roydmoorian as I used to be a postman (crumbs! That's nearly 24 years ago) and we had a lot of mail to sort and deliver, so things would go astray.

Before that I worked for Parcelforce, as a sorter in the Mitcham depot, and again, some things would come through with very little, or inadequate packaging (a bottle of champagne just covered with some brown paper for example).
