Can anyone recommend any insurance companies that would cover goods that I am importing from China to the uk via air freight? Incase they got lost or damaged on route etc. Value of goods is 3k.

The cheapest way is to book the insurance through the person arranging the air courier in China. It's cheap.

It depends on the products being shipped, but that sound pretty good to me.

If you are expecting lots of shipments coming in from China over the next year, say 1 per month), you may find it cheaper to arrange an annual insurance policy to cover all your shipments for the 12 months rather than individual insurance for each one.

It's OK, but read the small print and ensure it insures the consignment until the delivery door, not just port to port (sea or air).

Can you recommend another company for insurance? turns out the company I was looking at only insured the item if delivery was within 2 weeks.

My advice is to speak to your supplier as they would have experience in insuring their products for their customers. That would be the cheapest route to take.
