I'm working on the development of an insurance product and internet retailers is an area of interest. Welcome the views of website owners and insurance brokers too.

1. What do you want/need to be insured against?

2. What do you trade/offer? Can you summarise in 3 words? e.g. Baby Goods Retailer or Clothing Retailer, Graphic Designer

3. How much stock do you hold? (if any) and where/how is it stored?

Hi Gav,

Its not 100% clear exactly what you are looking to obtain from the small question set, I deal with a fair amount of internet traders & the requirements of each are always diffrent.

The majority we see are generally concerned about the stock in there home premises rather than a liability side.

If you could elaberate a little more on exactly what you are looking for I could possibly help further.

I'm really looking to find out what the primary need for insurance is in the mind of a micro/small business. e.g. do they want just stock cover or is it PL and then adding extras like stock.

Do you find insurers business descriptions accurate when trying to quote?

What are the most common types of businesses you quote for who are at the smaller end e.g. trading from home, internet traders, stalls etc.
