Hi All,

Planning to move into a commercial warehouse and carry out light manufacturing, such as printing, storage and distribution.

What kind of insurances would we need to get?

Building insurance is paid to landlord.

Any other insurances such as contents, public liability, employee, etc.

This all depends on what you wish to protect yourself from.

A 'commercial combined' policy would cover the bulk of what you would probably need such as:-
  • Employers Liability
  • General Liability (Public/Products/Pollution)
  • Material Damage & Theft (including stock, contents, plant & machinery)
  • Business Interruption
  • Engineering (Inspection & Insurance)
  • Goods In Transit
There are other policies available too which can sit alongside these covers to protect the business in other areas as well.

To be honest you are far more likely to get the answers you need from speaking to a broker than you ever will from an inflexible online package for your type of trade and I would suggest you speak to a broker to get a fuller explanation of the above.
