Insurance for cbd online shop

In the process of setting up an online shop selling cbd products in the uk. Does anyone know of an insurer that covers this. I have tried looking around and also asked a couple of brokers who are finding it difficult. I am initially launching with cbd edibles. Will I even need a specialist insurance or would a standard public liability one cover this

There is certainly a requirement in the US for CBD insurance as opposed to standard PLI. Have you spoken to Hiscox ?

Also, watch out for certain payment processors dropping you like a stone. Despite cBD products being widely available in high street shops, there are a lot of payment processors who won't entertain them, SumUp for one example.

Yes. There are some that will not allow CBD products but there are payment processors that will support the sector and will help you to do so. Obvious things like not having more than 0.2% THC and clear ingredient labelling, amongst other things.
