Insurance for an event

Hi All,

Just a quick one we are thinking of holding an event and wanted to check what Insurances we would need? we are having various stalls and also beauty treatments at our event so just wanted to make sure we're covered!?

Indoor/outdoor? Building owner may already have suitable insurance,check with them?

you'll need "event insurance" which will give you liability cover - google event insurance and it will come up with a number of suppliers

You will need Public Liability and possibly cancellation insurance to cover every eventuality - try WorldWide Special Risks they can provide this cover

You will probably want event insurance which will cover liability, cancellation, supplier failure etc however unless your contract of hire for your venue stipulates it you wouldn't have to have it.

Not sure why so many think that PL is legally required for so many things when in reality it is just prudent to have it.

We seem to need this public liability for everything these days, you would probably need it for if some drunken pees on your shoe and the poor saddo suffered splashback.
