insurance for a sign

I have been offered the chance to put up a small sign to advertise my buisness on a freinds property if i make sure i can be covered for public liability , is this the sort of thing that can be insured . thanks in advance .

It's not as clear cut as that. Have you actually been to see the relevant department at your council.

I'm advising caution because I was caught out by this after no mean expense having two beautiful signs made only to find out that the site where I wanted to put them was classified as being in the national park even though it isn't
.
They appear to be able to make the rules up as they go along.

This is n ireland its all a bit differant here lol , the ground were the sign will be is at the rear of my freinds soliciters office private property , the local council do not get involved if the signage is below a certain size and not on a foot path or area controled by them . on my own property i have over 8 signs at all times with prices menus etc on them and have done for over 20 years . thanks for your input :)
