Institute of Directors - any feedback??

O

office man

Has anyone heard of them? - any members would be even better.

I have been asked by a very good business contact to consider it, it is the single biggest source of business for his company and he says that our trade is the kind of business that could do well.

Any feedback would be most welcome.

cheers

I went to their annual conference this year in the Royal Albert Hall which was very good with lots of great feedback.
Speakers included Sir Bob Geldof, Kevin Spacey, Gordon Brown and David Cameron.
I'm not a member but I think it would be worth considering.

I have been a member for a few years. It used to be paid for by my employer but having started out on my own nearly two tyears ago I have decided to keep on with it. I don't use them very often but they do very good free sessions for members to advise on all sorts of legal stuff i.e. employment law, tax etc. from some of the best in their field. Some people would find it far more useful than I do but even so I think it's still useful to me. There is a joining fee and annual fee but it's tax deductable if you play it right.

If you do choose to join, if you let me invite you then I think I get a cheap bottle of wine of something!

I know of them and I think they do a reasonable job, but if you are a small business you may want to consider the FSB as an organisation specifically targeted for small businesses. You will see from other posts on this Forum there are quite a few members here.
