Hi,

Im setting up an Ecommerce/ door to door leaflet business and one of the key challenges i think we will face is instilling trust in our potential customers.

As a result i think one good cheap way of combating this is to associate ourselves with as many reputable (and related names) as possible.

My first choice is going to be the companies house logo seeing as though i am registered with them. I know it doesnt mean much in reality, but i believe it will give an appearance of legitimacy.

So Im wondering, do you know any free/cheap reputable names in this field that i can use to associate myself with?

First of all I suggest you read the thread on "leafletting, the problem and the solution" from this section of the forum.

If you wish to instill confidence in potential customers then make sure you have covered all of the key questions that are raised in this article and subsequent posts. Can you really do what you say for the money?

It's pretty clear from these posts that too many leadlet distribution companies, delivering door to door are too cheap and cannot justify that they can make a living at the prices they are charging. If the numbers do not stack up then you lose the trust.

Badge collecting is not the ideal way of gaining trust from a prospect. Answer their fears about doing the job correctly, possibly using an FAQ page and that will help.

You can also build in a guarantee which will go some way to alleviate the fears. Make sure the guarantee is prominent on your site, maybe even build it into the headline.

There are lot more ideas you can apply to get this right but hopefully this will get you started.
