Instagram account shut down

Not long ago i checked my business Instagram to check how many new followers i had, make some interactions etc. To be notified it had been disabled due to violating some of the terms.

I cant deny i may have broken a few rules such as uploading some GIFs which were not my own content, but i thought it was worth a try to appeal this. But the form i had to fill in to appeal seemed to be engineered to simply not proceed to the next step. Very frustrating.

I decided i may as well create a new Instagram account and be extra careful to not step out of line with any rules.

In order to activate the 'Instagram business account' i had to link my facebook page to my Instagram, but get this message:
'Facebook page already linked to Instagram account' ie. the disabled one.

For those that may not know, Facebook owns Instagram. In order to make sponsered/featured ads on Instagram you do it through the facebook Ad Manager. So i dont know how i can begin promoting my brand through instagram without being able to link my Instagram to my Facebook...

I thought maybe i could create another business page on facebook and link that instead. But, completely unsure if this will solve it or possibly cause my original, my new or both business pages to become disabled by the algorithms.

It's really important to me to get this resolved, but im fairly inexperienced with the ins and outs of social media platforms and marketing so would really appreciate any advice

The advice is to move on and use a different social media platform. FB and Instagram don't really care about you. You could appeal but it's unlikely to acheive anything. Treat it as a lesson learned and don't break the rules again.

It may be popular but there is no incentive for Instagram to reinstate the account. Fill in the form and hope for the best but prepare for the worse.

think its disgusting that mega companies like Facebook so this, many break the rules doing simple uploads there is usd to doing on other media platform. bet the top posters with million views or something get treated netter don't they to keep Instagram a high profile used site..... yeah ofcourse they do.

One rule for one, another rule for the less status accounts - no correct balance.

incentive for Instagram to reinstate the account

huh what incentive? ok - what bout the other accounts - they no incentive too? somfing wrong with the rest..

Instagram is pretty popular so it'd be in his interests to attempt to sort it out purely because lot of people are using that platform.

Have you managed to submit the appeal form at all, or did you give up?
I simply couldn't submit it.

It asked me to upload JPEG files to prove i have a legit business. Every time i clicked the 'Upload' button it sent me back to the original log in page.

I attempted appealing as a 'non-business' and one of the fields refused to save my entries.

I was able to create a new account though
