Independent affiliate - commission type system.

Hello,

I'm looking into creating a site that would act as a market place..
Where independent/small Businesses would add their products which incorporate links to their site/product pages when clicked by a user of our site. (Similar to how affiliate window would work etc)

Then, if a product was purchased we would earn a commission. (Similar to how affiliate window would work)

The questions I have are simply... Can this be done? And if so, does anybody use this type of system?

Hi there,

I think most sites would be happy to have links to products/offers etc where they only pay you if you actually send them a sale.

The question is how do you show YOU sent the sale? Current options are the site installs some tracking on their site ... and then you would somehow have to have that info available for verification to both parties.

There is quite a lot out there already in affiliate accounts ... some charging monthly minimums etc .

Something disruptive yet fair would be welcome I think.

It can be done through URL tagging in analytics. First create a custom url for one campaign or for one affiliate and that url should be used for that affiliate website. Then after Google analytics keeps track of cookies and all other things. I can help to implement that if you wish. Please put message.
