MICHELLE. From the look of your highly polished web site and indeed your photo icon alongsiide your membership name you would seem to be a professional and successful young woman and no doubt independant woman too.
Now if your were out there in the marketplace selling bent snooker or pool cues with no tips that you had carved out of the odd windfall branchs and no-one wanted to buy and you came on here asking for advice on how to get more sales - would you want everyone to pat you on the back or head and say
"Well done girlie and you made them yourself too. Why that's wonderful"
Come on now. You would no doubt appreciate honest and constructive advice - not condescending or patronising praise as offered by some on this thread and that is what I did. Give honest and unbiased advice - and I might add that by sheer coincidence after I had just carried out some in depth research into the greetings card industry on behalf of a fellow member on here.
As well as having 40 years experience in a wide range of industries then I had bang up to date relevant information to base my advice on - and that is what it was advice - combined with an explanation as to why I came to that view.
I did not insult Kelly personally then. I questioned the poor quality of presentation on her web site and that particular range of greetings cards. In fact far from insulting the young woman I tried to offer her encouragement by advising her to sit down and design a new range and saying that she would probably amaze herself how far her graphic skills go if she pushed herself that little bit further.
I and several other members also suggested that if she took that advice on board and produced truly authentic personalised cards rather than blanks with little more than basic logos on them she could increase her sales and margins substantially and turn what is little more than a paying hobby into a profitable business. Either that or gain a reputation as an 'artist'.
Now I think if you read all that in context my posts should have been read as being extremely helpful and constructive.
The post made by EH however contributed nothing to this thread. It was just the sort of insulting post made by a keyboard warrior - and even then an inarticulate one. My knowledge of the subject was obvious yet he or she called my ingnorant. Quite the opposite and a poor choice of word by any educational standard.
In any event that person calling themselves EH knows that they would never have the nerve to insult me to my face anyway. I would wipe the floor with them and they would get the proverbial boot up where the sun does shine out the door.

Unless it was a woman of course. I don't believe there is any excuse ever hitting a woman.
Then again putting one over ones knee and given them a well deserved spanking is another thing and happens in all the ladies boarding schools in the Cantons.
Now I suggest we all drop the slanging match - don't you.
