Incorrectly cleared shipment

    I have an incoming shipment via Dachser. We haven't used them for about a year and a half - or more correctly, our suppliers, who arrange the shipments, haven't.

    This shipment is through a new supplier. I advised them of our EORI number.

    Dachser, however, had an old customs release form from us, which they have used to clear the shipment - with our old, pre-VAT reg EORI. I did contact Dachser UK prior to the shipment being cleared and told them our EORI had changed, but they seem to have ignored that, and cleared the shipment using our old EORI.

    What do I do now? I've contacted them to see if they can amend the clearance, but the shipment has already been cleared so I'm not sure if they can.

    I don't know if it's a CHIEF or CDS declaration, I suspect it's CHIEF since I haven't explicitly authorised them to clear via CDS on our behalf.

    Hopefully, one of our customs experts here will have the answer.

    Hi! I’ve worked for Dachser 2 years ago as a customs declarant and I tell you this- they will not do anything to resolve this, mostly because it’s almost impossible to get through someone to speak to.

    The declaration must have been submitted on CDS, and you only have to authorize them if they were to use your DAN.

    I would recommend to contact hmrc via email to request an amendment, you will need the copy of cds entry, old eori, new eori.
