Hi there,
I am looking to incorporate a LTD in the very near future.
This will be my first company and I have some general questions I hope you guys can help with:-
-I understand that instead of dealing with Companies House direct myself, I can go through a 3rd party "Incorporation Agency" that will register the company for me?
Can anyone recommend a reputable agency?
-I plan on actually starting my business operation in January 2014, but I wish to incorporate the company this week. Should I incorporate it as a "Dormant" company now and then change its status to "Live" (or whatever the official term would be) in the new year when I am ready to trade. Or do I just register it as an active company now????
-Everything I have read leads me to understand that I should leave the "Articles of Incorporation" as standard? (The business is going to be me offering consultancy services in the construction software field)
-If I register it as Dormant initially, is there a charge for me to change its status to Trading? And is it best for me to change this status wit Companies House myself, or does the "Incorporation Agent" change its status for me (I would expect they would charge for this????)
I am also looking to register my trademark for this company. I suspect I should register the company first (as it will only take a day) and then when I apply for TM registration (which can take up to 4 months) I apply as "the company" being the owner of the TM and not me personally?
Many thanks for any help
Kind regards,
Ian
