Income protection insurance

Does anyone know if its possible to get income protection insurance if you are a director. It doesn't seem like it. Just prognosis for my company is not brill. Might be OK but it's worrying times. Just looking to protect income or at least personal debt for a period if anything did happen.

Yes it is possible and very popular I believe.

Multiple places will do it - just as in any insurance make very sure of what you are buying.
Companies are quick to take your money, getting a payout can be problematic for some people.

There are usually three elements to income protection, illness, accident and redundancy cover. When I took it out I was told that as I was a director of my own company I wasn't covered for redundancy, so you will need to read the small print if you are worried about the future of your business.
