Hello all hope your good. I really need some ideas on the project im currently working on. Any idea is much appreciated. The project is a diners club where people purchase memberships which gives them special offers they can use or redeem at participating restaurants.

The questions i have is:

1. What can i do to make sure participating restaurants are actually checking that the person is actually a member before giving the bill with the discount. I was thinking of having a unique code feature, which the member will have to provide the waiter with. Any other ideas would be awesome

2. Any other features i can add to benefit the member?

Taste and the gourmet society already do pretty well here, and they have very large marketing budgets. If you're dead set on doing this maybe a new route would be to promote this directly to businesses as an employee benefit, however taste already do this but they mainly focus on large corporates, maybe you could target small SME's

I understand this. Originally i thought of the idea then found out there is already something like this. My mind was so set on it i was quite disappointed when i found out about tastecard lol. However i feel like it could be better anyway. How? Not entirely sure atm i need to think of adding a few features and benefits for not just members but restaurateurs too. :D

If you think of something better to offer than the likes of Taste, it would almost be impossible to make it exclusive to your company.

With the brand, marketing and capital, Taste could copy your idea and get it to a vast audience very quickly.
