Hello,

I am thinking to buy 500 pieces(100kg) of one product from China. Supplier offered to ship my products for 750$ to my address in UK.
Product size: 9.2 cm x 9.2 cm x 5.1 cm
Weight: 200g / piece.

How do you think is it good price or should I look for somoene who can ship it for heaper price?
Maybe someone can offer a good uk freight service?

    Hi Frenk,

Double check that the price covers delivery to your door, rather than just to UK Pot. The latter is usually the case with prepaid freight, and you will then get hit with lots of additional costs on arrival. My advise would be to ask them for an FOB price (which means you pay them the cost of goods + all costs in China up to loading at Port). You can then get a price from a UK freight forwarder from FOB China Port to door UK so no risk of additional costs. Bear in mind as mentioned above that Duty is payable (On cost of Goods + Freight (and any insurance)), then VAT is payable on the same amount PLUS Duty.

    Good luck!

If your products are not urgent need, choose a china local sea freight company would save a lot. Normally they only transport your goods to the harbor, you need to find a UK logistic company to bring them to your UK address.

Total space about 0.2 CBM, weight 100KGS, won't be cheaper price for the sea freight shipping also. When your goods with big volume, sea frieght will be surely cheaper than air freight cost, while if small volume, air freight might be much more high cost-effective.

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for a few good and cheap freight forwarders to ship from china and pakistan to the UK. I will be getting a quote from woodland group but does anyone know any other popular ones - preferably large ones that have a presence and ship all over the world?

    Thanks for any info.

    Sounds very expensive.

I import 3000 units of a 30x30x12 cm item with a weight of 170g per item for £415 FOB HK. 32 days sailing time. Arrival normally 7 days after port arrival.

That's like 3-4 pallets of stock.

Get the following data to ensure accuracy before assessing further.

Number of units in a carton
    Weight of carton
Length width and height of carton
    Total number of cartons

    Exact collection address for goods.

Ensure your goods are well packed. Request images of packed goods from previous sales by supplier.

Try using alibaba.com and buy through their purchase portal system to ensure supplier is trustworthy.

    Good luck.

The alternative being you pay them directly at the same cost and without any hint of an assurance. Unless you involve QC in FE etc at an added expense.

Touch wood, but I've never had a problem with paypal and used it for at least 2000 transactions but I understand your point but all payment processing have the same issues.

Just recently we have advised two clients that paypal is no longer an accepted method for them to pay. Not because of paypal but because of them. That payment method comes with trust attached IMO for our business.
