Importing food

First it depends where you are importing and what kind of food you consider to import.

Food with bigger warranty term, like fruits and vegetables can be imported from places with farther destinations. But already prepared food, its risky.

I would say that even importing fruits can be risky.
Few years ago, i have had a friend importing a ship of oranges..and when the oranges got into the port, the all orange shipment was rotten.

So be careful, and try to take some kind of assurance before doing the import.

Good Luck !

Hi,

As Excellent Foods has mentioned importing from Europe is a lot easier as anything from outside the EU may be subject to checks, sampling and charges from Port Health. If you are importing from outside the EU then please make contacting Port Health the first option and talk through every product you are considering.

If you need any further advise please feel free to ask.

Food industry is highly sensitive if your transportation service is not well then it will take you to the loss of your order. Therefore before making decision of transportation always keep a check over food product you are going to transport.
