Does any one know whether one requires any sort of certification for importing bluetooths from Hong Kong or China into the UK.

I don't think that any certificate is required for that.

But if you are buying few then no problem, but if you are having them for business then i think you will need some shipping certificates to get.

If rebranding or white label manufacturing you'll need WEEE also.

Yes. but it's normal procedure for many bluetooth manufacturers in china . They must get the CE when they export bluetooth to other countries.

And there in lies a problem. For sure, the good guys get the right certification but you need to make sure that the certificates are bona fide and not fake.

Hello. Most factories, for example in yiwu, produce mainly for the western market, and will manufacture with the required standards needed for you to import to UK. Actually, products sold within China need special certification which is more rare to find then products labeled CE etc. My advice is to contact a trading partner you trust who can make the arrangements for you. It doesnt cost a lot extra to engage a consultant like this, any you can save a lot of money doing it right the first time.

If your products which will importing from China or HongKong were not famouse branded ones, there would need no certifications.
