Importing a Parcel, have I covered all the costs?

I'm about to place an order in Taiwan but just want to be sure I have all the costs covered, can anyone confirm if this looks right.

The proforma invoice from the company in Taiwan will be $640 US Dollars.

The UPS shipping fee will be approx £150.00.

The commodity code is 4.7%, so with duty and VAT I get a total landed price of £793?

You can work out the detail as GBP/USD rate is not in my control !
The VAT you pay will be 20% on the total of (Product cost+Duty+freight to UK +Insurance).
How much you will pay for customs clearance is in the hands of UPS.
Your number total looks light to me.
(£512+£26+£150)*1.2 = £825 plus customs

Plus the handling fee for processing the VAT and duty for you - 10-16 quid normally.

Thanks, I am a little under. I've just run this through dutycalculator.com

I'm getting from product value £515 + shipping £150 = £665

Total customs value: £665
Duty: £31.26
VAT: £139.25
Total import duty and taxes: £170.51

Plus £665.00 product and shipping = £835.51

But this will be plus a UPS handling clearance fee?

Am I safe in saying I'll get it to my door for no more than £900?

Don't rely on dutycalculator.

The definitions of which item has which tarrif code is not a logical one. When I read the HMRC site it seems like something out of victorian times with modern things added in. So applying a logical method to search, which duty calculator does, is very difficult.

HMRC will use their own currency conversion rate, which is updated on a monthly basis.
